HDTV TV REVIEW
HDTV or high definition television is a system that has higher resolution system than all the earlier sets. This technology was introduced in 1990’s in United States by the Digital HDTV alliance group. Nippon Kyokai firstly introduced this HDTV TV. He is considered as father of high definition televisions and discovered the technology in 1969 but the process took 20 years to produce the televisions.
HDTV uses the technology of Dolby digital sound that can produce the theatre quality sound. It is more like a theatre as it uses the great resolution but theatres are still away from their reach as they use very high resolution projectors. HDTV TVs are capable to screen the photographic films and digital video.
After the advent of color television, flat screen TV was the next achievement. We have a long list of these television sets including LCD TV, Plasma TV, rear and DLP projection systems. Today this technological product can be found in our houses, offices and several other places. They offer an unprecedented quality of display and color contrast. Among the manufactures of these HDTV TVs are Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Phillips and many more.
There are some major and minor differences in this Plasma, LCD and other rear projections. A plasma TV is the one that consist a milieu of small gas plasma suds with phosphor coating over them. They are charged with electrical voltages in order to create the picture. You can get screens larger than 30 inch in plasma than LCD. If we discuss about LCD it is liquid crystal display and is opposite to plasma in its projection. They are very popular in their larger images and produce more breath taking images and effects. Rear projection also lies in the same stream of HDTV TVs as it does not produce as good result as plasma but can be taken as an affordable option in the larger screen TV. Among HDTV TV technology, we have the DLP projection TV. It uses optical semiconductor to influence light digitally. We can often see many televisions, home theatres and other projectors with this quality.
In order to have the proper HD signals for your HDTV TV you need to stress upon the programming. You can go for the over the air antenna. Most of the cities in United States are using this option for programming, for which you need to install a tuner also and a separate set top box. Most of the cable companies provide HDTV broadcast as a part of their service. They usually use a set top box and sometimes a cable card which is provided by the company itself. One can also go for the better quality by using QAM tuner within the normal cable connection. There are various satellite connection networks in the market offering HDTV to the consumers such as dish TV, sky TV, and direct TV. These all companies are stressing over the performance to provide quality of the signals up to the quality requirement of HDTV TVs. |
